NYPD officers perform a miraculous rescue on the Brooklyn Bridge, saving a woman’s life after she threatened to jump to her death. Emergency Service Unit officers climbed to the top of the bridge to talk to the woman in crisis, waiting nearly an hour for the opportunity to get her to safety. Bodycam footage released by the NYPD shows the rescue of a woman in crisis who climbed the Brooklyn Bridge. Footage shows an officer – secured by a harness – climbing up the bridge to reach the 31-year-old woman. After nearly an hour of conversation, officers were able to escort the woman off the beam.
