Sony releases surprise new PS4 console update for September 2026
Even though Sony is focusing primarily on the PlayStation 5 nowadays, a new PS4 console update is available to download right now.
Step 3: Reinstall the PS4 Software The new drive is in the console but doesn't have the operating system installed. On your computer, insert a USB drive (not the one you’re using for your PS4 backup).
