Runners in the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon could wind up racing in the rain thanks to remnants of the newly formed Tropical Storm Isaias in the Gulf.

It's a possibility, NBC 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Kevin Jeanes said, but it may not be as bad as it sounds. Early forecasts show Sunday's temperature looks to be warmer than average, Jeanes said, with a temperature of 63 degrees when the race begins around 7 a.m.
